La Quinta Resort & Club was founded in 1926 as an exclusive destination in the desert valley east of Los Angeles. The resort sits at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains and has grown into a sprawling campus with Spanish-style casitas, private villas, and 42 pools and 53 hot spas across its grounds. It operates five championship golf courses that are ranked among the top courses in North America, making the valley itself a golf destination for players from across California and beyond.

The resort pioneered the idea of a winter escape to the California desert, and that identity has shaped the broader region for a century. Today the Coachella Valley is home to nine incorporated cities and tens of thousands of year-round residents, plus seasonal visitors who come for the climate, the golf courses, spas, and outdoor recreation. The valley's resorts, hotels, and residential communities continue to draw families who want reliable sunshine, outdoor activities at their doorstep, and a quieter pace than the coastal cities.

Families rooted here depend on the jobs the resort and hospitality industries provide, the retail and service businesses that support them, and the retirees who chose to stay. When those households plan for the people who would be hurt by the loss of an income, life insurance sized to a mortgage, retirement plans, or a business becomes the practical bridge to stability.
